    I'm sure they'll announce 40,000+, but today's crowd looks somewhat similar to yesterday's pictures of Camden Yards.

    That's a big zero for Cooney.  Last thing they needed was to play the whole game behind.  Need to jump on Philly early.

    Someone who's watching please tell me McCarver said: "The Phillies will gladly trade two outs for a run with runners on first and third an no one out" after Heyward's GIDP.
    It's one of McCarver's go-to moves, along with his story about Uecker shagging fly balls with a tuba before a game in the '64 World Series.

    Yeah, Marco Gonzales needs to get healthy in a hurry.  I'm not watching, but that appears to have been a complete disaster.  I wonder how many innings they can really get out of Charlie Newhouse (the English version of Carlos Villanueva).  They badly need him to save the bullpen.  Six or seven more runs would be helpful too.

    I really hope not. I haven't watched a pitch, but this is a putrid lineup Cooney faced. And were Cardinals were very lucky to be facing a putrid starting pitcher.  Cooney's next start would be against the Cubs.  Yes, they're the Cubs, but they're a lot better than Philadelphia.

    According to Shannon, the Cardinals are reporting Garcia looked good in his simulated game. Has a team ever announced that a guy pitched a simulated game and he would have gotten lit up?
