Hate to ask.... I've taken it to mean the (fkn) reds, but what does it actually stand for?

It's actually TTTIB - The Team That Invented Baseball.

TTTIB just fell to .500. They're 5 games back.

They've lost 10 of 12 and open a three-game series tonight against the Brewers, who I believe have won 15 of 19 now. Are we to the point where we should be rooting for the Reds?

I am. At least for this series. If they can beat up on eachother and the Cardinals can split that would be good enough.
Of the 26 games nexted month only 8 of them are against teams currently above .500. (2 gaints, 3 brewers, 3 phillies)
17 of the 27 games that the Brewers play are against .500 teams. Those teams include @Yankees, @Red soxs, rays, @Marlins and Cardinals. The below .500 teams are the Mets, Cubs and Twins. They have a tough month.
The Reds face 14 games against teams above .500 out of 26.
If the Cardinals beat the teams they are supposed to beat it should be a good month.

I can't ever root for that team. They're evil. If the Reds played the Yankees in the WS, I'd root for the Yankees.

I could root for the devil if he was playing a team that the Cardinals needed to lose.
