Nine Teams Out of Debt Compliance
Well this is interesting. It appears that teams are over-leveraging themselves. I'm sure the Bear Sterns strategy will work wonderfully for the league.
Selig better get his house in order.

The Cardinals would be more than happy to take Hanley and his salary off the Marlins' hands. For the sake of the health of the league, of course.

Hanley is hitting .210 this season, so that seems like a step backwards.

yeah, it's weird. i was going to comment on that, but . . . uh, what the hell is going on with ramirez and uggla?!? i confess to salivating over them during the offseason, but now it's like a blessing in disguise that atlanta overpaid for uggla and both he and ramirez are sucking.
