He has been less consistent on the backhand, and he likes to shade close to the line to kind of help himself get in a more comfortable position. He worked on that part of the position this spring, and he has continued to drill on his backhand at Memphis. "He's working on it," Maloney said. "He's got a good enough arm for the position, and he wants to improve. That's helping. This guys has got his game face on when he arrives at the ballpark. He plays with intensity, very serious, and he brings that to no matter he's trying to do at the ballpark."

I read something the other day that made it sound like they had an open spot on the 40-man roster.

They released some guy named Blake King.  For some reason I thought there may have been one other move that had them down to 38, but I may be wrong about that.
