"my Tigers made it to the WCWS."

Mizzou's pitcher is very good.
Watch out for the Sooners. That's all I'm sayin'.

"Mizzou's pitcher is very good."

Yes, she is.  But she's also a Shakespears Pizza away from appearing in one of AP's video clips.

Re: Eight for Oklahoma City

I thought ASU's pitcher was an Amazon until I saw Oklahoma's hurler. She looks like she was carved out of granite.
And their parents have no way of knowing their baby girl is going to end up looking like Andre the Giant, but I get a kick out of how all these behemoths have ultra-feminine names with funky spellings like "Ambyr" or "Destinee" or "Bryttanni."

"... Laycee was selected player of the game by striking out 20 of the 21 batters she faced with a fastball clocked at 137 mph. Keeping with the post-game ritual, she will now have sex with a male subject unwillingly chosen from the opposing team's rooting section, and then bite off his head to consummate the exchange of bodily fluids ..."

Re: Eight for Oklahoma City

I like Florida's offensive philosophy: Try to hit the ball as far as you can every time you swing.
Small ball is for girls.

A really cute girl smiled at him and told him it was stylish.

Either that or lots and lots of alcohol.

Or both.

I can't believe it's 12:30 a.m. and I'm watching a friggin' softball game.

What you meant to say was watch out for the Sooners on their way back to Norman.

Or maybe this was meant as a warning to the owner of the Oklahoma City Golden Corrall. I bet the Sooners' pitcher can do a number at a buffet.

The Big 12 (minus 2) got 4 teams into the WS. 3 of them will be gone by the next round.

Re: Eight for Oklahoma City

There's softball today? Sorry, I only have to follow the winners' bracket.

How do you get to bite someone and play in the next game?

You ever smelled a hockey glove?  Someone stuck the finger of one of those nasty-ass things in my mouth, I might have bit him too.

I've smelled the hockey smell. I've always wondered if women's hockey has the same odor issues.

Re: Eight for Oklahoma City

Not sure whether ASU will get Mizzou or Baylor, but I doubt they'll have a tough time disposing of either. These pitchers may throw their arms off before this game is over.

Re: Eight for Oklahoma City

Mizzou's pitcher now at 263 pitches today and counting. As a result, Mark Prior has scheduled an MRI on his shoulder and elbow.

I can't imagine there's a lot of cameraderie between Baylor's pitcher and her teammates.

Florida opened today's game against previously unbeaten Alabama with a 7-spot in the first. Actually I should say at least a 7-spot. They're still batting.

Make that an 11-spot. Florida just got a grand slam as I was typing.

Re: Eight for Oklahoma City

Every time I check in on the softball game, someone from ASU is scoring. My girl Sammy Parlich just went deep. Who wouldn't love a second baseman with gap power?
