At last, a scandal we can call Weinergate

I knew this was going to turn out badly for the congressmen, and contemplated posting, before ultimately doing something else.  It seems that the woman in question goes to Whatcom Community College, which is in my neck of the woods, close enough that I get the local news.  There was a story in the local paper that after the lewd photo story broke, that local reporters went to find her and couldn't . . . and then they discovered that her online accounts--facebook, twitter, etc.--were all deactivated.  You don't do that if a random hacker sends a lewd photo to a random person.

Stuff like this makes you wonder if the people who manage to keep their pants on when they're supposed to are the sexual deviants, not the other way around.

Re: At last, a scandal we can call Weinergate

i once read something that hit home pretty hard.  it was a forum in details or playboy or something like that.  there was an 18 year old woma . .  .girl having an affair with a 40-something married guy.  and she was asking along the lines of,"it's been going on for, like, 8 months and i'm just wondering where this is going?  what is he thinking?"  the forum answer was, 'we don't know why this 40-something married man began his affair with you, but non-committal sex with an 18 year old is the reason he isn't ending it."

there, but for the grace of god, and willing 18 year olds, go i.

Re: At last, a scandal we can call Weinergate

Pelosi was "deeply disappointed and saddened" by Weiner.

Oh the bad directions this can go

How long will it be before the Democrats blame Bush for the Wiener scandal? It's just a matter of time, and this time, I believe they have a point!

Re: At last, a scandal we can call Weinergate

While attempting to find the hidden link between Wiener and Bush, the press discovered an unexpected link to Johnson.

When questioned about this development, former Speaker Pelosi stated that she was never fond of Bush, rather she was partial to Wiener and Johnson.

AP Washington.

Lawmakers were in an uproar to decide with the best solution to Wiener. Pelosi's intent to blame Bush for the current fiasco that Wiener has found himself in were quickly rebuked by the Republican party. Former Secretary of State Condaleeza Rice came out of retirement quickly and volunteered to show Wiener the in's and out's of responsible relationships while maintaining a stiff professional image. This idea was quickly rebuked as a cruel punishment and not the educational solution Rice proposed. Upon learning of the proposal, Wiener (who has been reluctant to commit to much of anything) climbed to the top of Mount "Me" and threw himself off, committing suicide.

Congress is unsure if flying the flag at half mast will be appropriate for Wiener, or if he'd prefer the flag to fly at full attention.

Apparently the media is having the same amount of fun with this as we are.  The story doesn't share the same headline, but the current link on FoxNews.com reads, "Media Management Advice Comes Back To Bite Weiner."

Even liberal MSNBC is predicting Weiner's political career will suffer significant shrinkage.

Will the thrust of the Weiner probe lead toward Bush?

Re: At last, a scandal we can call Weinergate

Pelosi ponders benefits of deeper probe or early withdrawal for Dem's Weiner.

An early withdrawal by the Dem's Weiner could spare Pelosi the pain of a deeper probe.

Re: At last, a scandal we can call Weinergate

Just found out Weiner's wife's first name is "Huma."

Wonder if she kept her maiden name or goes by "Huma Weiner?"

If her father walked her down the aisle, would it be accurate to say that he "gave Weiner a Huma?"

Oh wow.... I didn't even pick up on the fact that "Huma" could have the pronunciation of "Hum'a" until then. I was reading "Hooma" and not getting it.

How sad of me. Ima would have been an upgrade

I can't wait until I hear a newscaster with a Boston accent try to read her name.

"Hummuh Weinuh was wicked pissed attuh huzbind Antuhney, so she filed divauce papiz on Wenzdee ..."

You say Boston, but I keep hearing that with a South Carolina accent.

South Carolinians don't use "wicked" as an adjective.

I don't think we can, in good conscience, let this pass without comment

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/07/23/weiner-comments-on-new-sexually-charged-messages/?hpt=hp_t1

"The New York chapter of the National Organization for Woman called on Weiner to withdraw"

Damn lesbians.

Not a freakin' chance ...

Weiner has run a rather flaccid campaign thus far, but his willingness to address these allegations head on shows his resolve may be stiffening.
