    Another good read, call it sports literature

    This is the kind of piece where Burwell is at his best, finding the moment that refracts light into a revealing and colorful story.  I tend to agree with Burwell here, that unless bad things happen to good baseball teams, we are headed for something special.  It reminds me most of 2004, when the off-season was filled with projections of woe, and then we suddenly discovered we were a 100+ win team.
