Theriot-6
Rasmus-8
Pujols-3
Berkman-7
Craig-9
Molina-2
Schumaker-4
Descalso-5
Westbrook-1
One might question why Skip Schumaker, he of the 6-for-36 and .211 batting average is still in the lineup. Then one might be having second thoughts about that break-up between Skip and Tony.
I think Skip's got an Asian grandparent or something.

Good grief, Berkman loves MMP.

Welp. Craig's done.

The only thing missing from that slow bouncer past second base was Dan or Al talking about how bad Skip felt for not getting there.

Hmm . . . Berkman looked safe. I think ump's seem inclined to give the call to the fielder if he seemed to make a good play.

I went off to breakfast and I came back and the game is now 2-2 and Craig is gone. I see the homer to Lee, but what the hell happened to Craig?

I think so.
What was Barmes doing? Did he think Usain Bolt was running?

Ran into a pole in foul territory.
Here's a chance for Skip to try hard and fail, but it'll be okay because he feels bad.

JAKE WESTBROOK!!!

Another impressive throw by Rasmus . . . offline and late.

Offline, but there was no chance they were going to get him.

Ricky thinks Skip is doing a good job hitting the ball on the ground. I guess he thinks Jake Westbrook should pitch for fly balls?

Another boneheaded play by Theriot.

Jesus Fucking Christ Sanchez. Throw a God Damn strike.

I think Mozeliak should start inquiring about Heath Bell. I resisted that notion, but now I think it's pretty important to get someone in here.

Nice job Salas.
I thought closers were only supposed to pitch the 9th.

Milwaukee finally lost. Yay.

Associated Press is reporting he bruised his knee.

one of the announcer's started to prattle on about how much rasmus's throws have improved over the past few weeks, which sounded like he was pleading the case because the throw wound up about four feet to the left field side of second base. Yes, he got the throw off in a hurry, but a good throw would have made the play close. Not sure there was no chance at all.

IIRC, it was JR Towles who hit the ball, and it was plugged into the gap and to the warning track. Unless Bengie Molina is running, I have no clue how that play is supposed to be close.
Regardless, Rasmus has been making stronger throws, and Ricky Horton isn't going to do him any favors by talking him up.
Cardinals are now ahead by seven percentage points for best record in MLB.

I agree that Towles had every right to take a double. But what I watched was that Rasmus played it unexpectedly well and fired it almost like a shortstop trying to make the throw to first from deep in the hole. So that by the time the offline pitch arrived, Towles was not quite on the bag. That's my recollection.
"Cardinals are now ahead by seven percentage points for best record in MLB."
Go Cards!

That looked painfull and it is going to be painfull without him in the lineup. I hope this doesnt kill the great season he is having.
