Missed the whole game because I was at a 4 year olds birthday party. All I know is that they really need to win tomorrow. Not really because of standings but just to keep from getting stomped by the team they are going to be fighting with for the rest of the year.

It was a typical Carpenter v.2011 outing. He had some good moments, but mistakes in one bad inning really killed him. Fielder hit a freakin' bomb in the second. Yadi came up with a 2-out RBI double and then Berkman hit a laser to give him a 2-1 lead, but he opened the sixth by allowing a single to Greinke and then he fell behind Weeks and had to come in too close with a pitch that Weeks muscled over the fence in right. It looked like that would be all when he got Morgan and Braun, but then he walked Fielder and McGehee, and then got too much of the plate on a pitch that Hart belted into the gap in right-center.
Greinke was good but not great on the mound. He didn't walk anyone, which was huge.
