I don't even think that was ever a look, Don. Back in the day, we used to have a little bit of overlap, but we wore shorter pants and showed stirrups. These guys are just rolling up the longer pants they wear these days and it looks silly.
Not that the late '70s were a distinguished era for baseball fashion. My sophomore year in high school, we wore red jerseys with black pants. We looked like a slow-pitch softball team from a fire department. And we didn't play much better than a slow-pitch softball team from a fire department.
