Oswalt had a back injury. Early indications were potentially serious.
Not that Houston was willing to send him to us anyway, but the Cardinals look pretty smart not being stuck with that contract.
BTW- big outing by Carpenter. Team needed that badly.

I'll take 1 out of 3 from the Phillies (without AP) , and run with it . Even though we were in contention in the first game , until the meltdown , we're still hanging with Brewers/Reds with our Johnson & Johnson lineups .
