Why is this a big deal? He's hurt and can't play. What was Bochy going to do? Pick him for the team and then replace him?

He probably doesn't deserve to go anyway. Or at least he doesn't deserve to start. Fielder is having a much better season offensively so far.
I'd much rather see Pujols rest at home for three days than have him travel to Phoenix.

Good. Pujols would have played in the damn thing if he makes it off the DL. Plus this saves DeWitt from having to pay Pujols' all-star bonus.

Andrew McCutchen was robbed something awful.
In almost half as many at bats then last year McCutchen has pretty much match last years production. Plus he is a very good fielder. I wonder if the Pirates are willing to "Aramis Ramirez" him to the Cardinals.

Bruce played out of his tits in May, and he's a very good glove. You might have a better argument with Carlos Beltran.
