Ladies and gentlemen, your 2012 St. Louis Cardinals ...
... hey, a Jay Payton sighting. Must be old-timer's day.

From the "Dubious Honors" file:
Drew Goodman: "Jimenez is going to finish his career owning every Rockies' pitching record ..."

Lohse pitched 3 hit ball over 7 scoreless innings.
I still have hope that this guy can be effective, and that his problems have been injuries and the related mental struggles that go along with recovery.

He pitched well, but the Rockies have scored one run in 29 innings this series. Hmmmm. That's not going to dissuade the humidor conspiracy theorists.

After the Rockies beat up on us in July it has been a real pleasure to see the Cards take three from them the past three days! The Rockies TV announcers were praising Jimenez and bad mouthing Lohse from the beginning. I wish Lohse could have gotten the W.

That would have been nice, but according to the unquestionable wisdom of baseball records keepers, the win rightly belongs to Motte.

Yeah, that was crap. I'm never going to abide by announcers openly rooting for the team they cover, and I can suppose one could be a little more lenient when a guy is going for his 20th win in a game between two teams that have been eliminated from the playoffs, but that whiny "Come ON, it's Kyle Lohse ..." nonsense they engaged in yesterday is amateur hour stuff.

I have to say...... that was quite a death spiral the Rockies fell into in the last 12 games (errr) Total deflation! Sorry to see the season end for the Cards (depressed)
