Zambrano walks out on Cubs
After giving up 5 HR and getting ejected for trying to hit Chipper Jones, Carlos Zambrano cleared out his locker and left the team mid-game.
What a fucking nut-job.

I cant see him retiring. He would leave 37 million dollars on the table over the next 2 years. The Cubs have to be sitting back think they might have caught a huge break if he really does leave. If they were ever thinking about entering a bid on Pujols seeing an unexpected 37 million dollars on the books really screw the Cardinals.

If Zambrano retires the Cubs will have about the same amount of committed money in 2012 as the Cardinals.

Speaking of people who make things all about themselves ...
The ironic part, which no one seems to get, is Rodman goes into the Hall of Fame with Tom Sanders, who invented the defensive/rebounding forward position, played it much better than Rodman ever did, and ended up with more rings. The only thing Rodman did that Sanders didn't was show up to a disco in a wedding dress. Of course, it probably never occurred to Rodman to thank Sanders for being a pioneer. He probably didn't even know who Sanders is until he found out they were being inducted together.

i can see their lawyers burning the midnight oil right now to see if Z has already done enough to void the contract. if so, big break for the cubs. and maybe for Z, too. he surely has piles of money already and maybe now needs sometime for himself: plant a tree, build a treehouse for his kids, write that novel that's been kicking around in the back of his head.
