    I'm not long for this game. I have to get Bob up at 5:30 for his football game. M probably out by halftime.

    For Christ sake Pinkel. It's 1st and goal from the 1 foot line. Go under center.

    Terrible call. That ball was 10 feet over Lucas' head.

    "Richardson took a circuitous route to Missouri"

    Translation: Richardson committed to Missouri as a high school junior. After being named one of the Top 5 prospects in the country, he nearly switched his committment to Miami, but ultimately signed with Missouri, but then didn't qualify academically. Richardson went to JUCO for 2 years, then switched his committment to USC before de-committing and coming back to Mizzou. He couldn't get qualified academically to join spring practice or to enroll for summer courses. He finally joined the team two weeks into camp after passing his last JUCO course online after he passed the final exam on his 3rd try.

    I think the final exam required him to spell both "Sheldon" and "Richardson."  I'm pretty sure it was a 400 level, 5 hour course.

    Henry Josey has been Mizzou's best RB the last 2 seasons. Maybe being forced to play him will make Pinkel realize it.

    On the bright side for ASU, Burfict's first stupid penalty didn't cost them.

    So here I sit at 7:45 at an empty high school stadium to watch 60 6th graders, 50 of whom had apparently never set foot on a football field before last week.

    I can't remember what I got for Father's Day, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't good enough.

    I'm still amazed. This is the type of game ASU always loses. And it was setting up that way - blow a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter, and let the other team drive into field goal range in the last two minutes. The only deviation was the kicker - who seems very capable - missed the kick. I'm guessing Pinkel is getting some heat for calling two timeouts to ice his own kicker. Never seen that before.

    Not sure if you heard his explanation.  He was trying to draw Burfict offsides by letting the play clock wind down and hoping that Burfict would try to time the snap.  Fucking brilliant.  If you wanted the extra 5 yards, why not call something other than 3 straight QB draws after moving into field goal range.

    Watching the Illini vs AZ ST game was the most fun I have had watching a college football game since Young vs Bush.
