    At least the Cards didnt lose ground.  Damn, 3.5 back would have been nice.

    They simply aren't good enough to rip off an eight-game winning streak, or go through a stretch where they win 12 of 15. The bullpen is still inconsistent, Westbrook and Lohse are still too inconsistent and this team's situational hitting is awful. Plus, they continue to make bad baserunning mistakes.

    They are a deeply flawed team who will probably win another 86 games or so.
