Now if he can take over on the mound .........................

That was a bad call at third on Scirocco or whatever his name is, but what in the world was Garrett Jones thinking?

I see the talking heads are starting to hand out Cardinal Kool-Aid for 2012. Count me out of sipping on that.

If they resign Berkman, Furcal and Pujols I will be really looking forward 2012. The only bad thing is that it is Sept 2011. Furcal and Berkman could age alot before the 2012 season.

Exactly. People keep saying "look at what they're doing without Wainwright" but it needs to be understood that McClellan/E-Jax have given the Cardinals 169 (and counting innings) with an ERA of 3.77. Wainwright would probably be a full run better than that, but it's still decent. And can we count on the Cardinals getting another MVP-type season out of Berkman or whoever plays right field next season? I still think unless they can get awesome performances from Lohse and Westbrook, it will be another 85-win team or so that frustrates us.

I'm not sure it's even worth having a discussion about 2012 until we find out where Pujols is playing.

Furcal has alot of upside but his stats are not over powering. His OPS is nice but mainly because of a HR spike. His OPB is worst the Theriot's. One thing that I like about Berkman projection for 2012 is that he has not tailed off in 2011.

Furcal's appeal is obviously linked to his durability. I love his defense, but don't know if you can count on him for 140 starts anymore.
