Pujols did his job. 

For some reason the televised game here is Florida and Washington.

Craig doesn't get the bunt down and then goes yard. Great managing.

I am more interested in the Sunday night NFL game.  The Cardinals need to stop blowing games like they did last night to have a chance.  They are playing to gain what they lost night. 

I think Ill have another beer, take a nap and hopefully wake up with 5 minutes to go in the 4th.

Allen Craig has to be a regular player next season.

I like the idea of having Berkman on the 2012 roster.  Lets face it, he is the only reason we are still following the Cardinals today.  As for Craig, I agree.  He has show enough to justify regular playing time.  However if Berkman comes back he doesnt get in the everday lineup.  Another thing with depending on Craig is that he is injury prone.  One way to get him in the lineup is to move him to second base but we have all seen the risk involved.

Again, back to the guys in the booth: I think they have smelled out a likely scenario, where the Cards sign Berkman to play first, figuring Pujols walks, in which case Criag gets right field.

10 games to play, 3.5 games back.  Do-able.

I think he does, too.  But I also think he sees that the DeWitt group has played a very risky game of chicken with him, daring him to continue performing at the level he has, not get injured, and then go try the free agency market if he likes it.  Well, he has done just that, and the DeWitt group loses this game of chicken: he has continued to perform, has fought through any injuries, and now he is going to see some HUGE offers come his way.

I see this as very similar to the Cliff Lee negotiation, where he gets a few monster offers and then takes these to his favored team and says, "what are you gonna counter with?"  But the difference will be that the DeWitt group will fail to make a good enough offer, going back to the $22 m/ year for 7 years, or whatever it was, and Pujols will walk.  At this point, I am guessing he winds up with CWS, and La Russa does, too.

If the Cardinals were to play 10 games against Halladay, I doubt they win 2, but there's always the possibility that this might be that magic 1.

They have faced him 3 times.  He has won 2 and had one no decision.
