Fish jump on top early

I've got my eye on both games.

Great start for Garcia.

Six pitches to Reyes and Wright!

Double for Pujols!
Brett Hayes goes deep for Florida!

That was one of the ugliest DP's I've ever seen.

Through 6 in Florida. Marlins still lead, 2-0.
Offline
Molina standing on first after an infield pop-up that Wright can't handle.
Double by Mike Stanton in Florida.

I understand it's still 3-0 if the shortstop makes the play, but Furcal didn't give up a 2-out hit to the pitcher and a double to a guy with 10 major league at bats.
And now it looks like Garcia's porcelain psyche has been shattered again.

Javy Vasquez was nails tonight.
Can't waste this one.

This guy was one diving catch away from the clubhouse shower and now he's cruising.

Fish win, 4-0.

Of course the Cardinals let this scrub off the hook. This is Barry Enright/Bud Norris/Shairon Martis all over again.

Agreed. At some point, Garcia has to grow up and make a pitch when things go bad. He has to lead the league in unearned runs.

Daniel Ray Herrera just tied a major league record for the fewest pitches thrown in an appearance.

I think Dave Veres is in on that, too.

He does. 27.
He railled though. The last couple of innings were solid.

There it is!!!

FREESE GOES DEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would really be nice to see what kind of numbers Freese could post if he could play a season without a major injury. Even if he only played 140 games, I'd love to see what he'd do.

If this pitching change falters, Larussa might not make it out of the stadium.

Anyone want to take a stab at trying to describe the mood in the visitors' clubhouse in Miami Gardens right now?

I presume this means Salas is pitching the ninth?

Motte with a humungous strikeout.
