Fuck Tony, don't get cute. Just walk Howard and let Salas pitch to Victorino.

How big has trading for Pence been for the Phillies.
my issue with the brewers getting k-rod is the same as the phillies getting pence this season, and oswalt last season and blah blah blah. the name brand players ALWAYS go somewhere else. holliday is the exception that proves the rule. i get the idea that the cards can't afford to go after anything but low hanging fruit, but milwaukee has been getting A+ talent going back to sabathia at least. just griping.

Jackson is better then low hanging fruit. In fact I believe he was the best pitcher moved this year.

that could be scored a wild pitch. it definitely bounced.
I'm sure it was scored a wild pitch, but a pretty fundamental part of blocking a ball in the dirt is to get your glove on the ground. The ball should never go under your glove.

The big three are coming up. They need to add a run or two and give Motte some space.

This is the second game in a row Molina has cost the Cardinals with that shit.

Agreed. Don't get hung up with names Max. Dotel was better than K-Rod before and after their respective trades.
Nyjer Morgan was a much more important acquisition for the Brewers than K-Rod, and he was far from an A-list acquisition.

That's a nice grouping by Motte. Too bad all 3 pitches were out of the zone.

At least the ground ball missed the base.

That was straight fucking heat. Take a seat Ibanez.

This series has been epic. Win or lose it has been a ton of fun to watch. Pujols would be crazy to walk away from this.

I was thinking the same thing earlier today. And he knows Waino will be back.

What was strike two. The gun said 89 and it look to have alot of late movement. I am guessing two seamer.

I'll say this. Who knows how far this team goes, but they've collectively got a huge set of balls. They aren't going away quietly.

I've read he's been working on a cut fastball. I have no ides the difference between that and a 2-seamer. It seemed to dip down a little.

That Larussa sure is a genius manipulating his rotation to get Carpenter ready for Game 5. (grin)
