I'm going out on a limb and saying Theriot doesn't make that play.
Are you fucking kidding me?
I almost made the same post.

Out of the inning, but Howard definitely hits again.

That was a freak play, TK.

So, Rzepczynski, Dotel and Rhodes in the 9th (sarcasm)

All kidding aside, how about 2 teams from the "weak ass" NL Central playing in the NLCS?
Artie, can we discuss the LCS rotation yet?

I don't have cable. Had to watch at a bar. Don't pity me; I could afford it but just don't want it.
Other fucks in my vicinity had no idea how special this was.
I have never been prouder to be a Cards fan.
Never.
Fuckin' A.

I turned off the game after Skippy drove in Furcal. I figured Carpenter wouldn't give up a run. Did anything exciting happen?

Nah. Boring game. It was like watching soccer.

Happily ...

It's likely to be:
Lohse vs. Greinke
Jackson vs. Marcum
Carpenter vs. Gallardo
Garcia vs. Wolf

Well, the final score was 1-nil.

Is it too soon to discuss why dead men running keep getting waved?

Fuck that. Give me Garcia in Game 1 (4 days rest) so he can also pitch Game 5. I don't like any rotation that doesn't let Garcia pitch twice (and once at home). Either Lohse or Jackson for Game 2 and the other for Game 4.

I hope he goes with Garcia/Jackson in the first two games. It would be silly not to, but I think they have more faith in Lohse on the road than Garcia.

It's the squirrel.
Did you hear LaRussa interview with Sager after the game about getting a suite for the squirrel and Craig's tortoise? I've never heard an intelligent person sound so dumb.

I was jazzed when they beat the Mets in '06, and I really, really enjoyed them beating the evil Giants in '87, but considering where these were in August and how many times I'd written them off, I'd probably have to agree.
Speaking of the '87 Giants, I wonder how the TBS folks told Brenly he wasn't working Game 5 tonight?

I can remember feeling great after Gibson whiffed 17 Tigers in '68, putting away the Brewers in '82, and of course the last out of '06. But this one, without Wainwright and after the sinking of SS Theriot, feels sooo good.
