I cannot believe I'm saying this, because I've REALLY railed on him in the past. I'm really starting to get behind Motte as a closer. That guy has been religiously great since mid season.

Darling wasn't kidding when he said strike three to Fielder was the biggest pitch Scrabble has thrown in his life.
So I'm just guessing here but I suppose "Scrabble" is the nickname for Marc Rzepczynski?

It's not easy to swing the bat when you have a tendon issue in your hand. He shouldn't be playing.

I wouldn't mess with the lineup too much, but I agree with the notion of playing Craig in LF and sitting Holliday until he's healthy. Which may not be this year.
I wouldn't move Freese. I suspect part of the reason why he's flourishing is because he's batting in the 7th spot. You move him to cleanup, especially the way they're pitching around Albert now, and his cheeks are going to clench a little bit.

I'm confused. Shouldn't Motte have pumped his fist, beat his chest, moon walked and made a gesture like a Disney character there?
Absolutely. Patting your glove once and shaking hands with the catcher is so 20th century.
I heard an interview this morning with Isringhausen. He said the most impressive thing about Motte was that he didn't even crack a smile after retiring the final out. Izzy said Motte looks more business-like than he's ever seen him.
