NLCS Game 5

Pujols has not been clutch in the postseason.
Freese looks like a junior varsity bench warmer with jock itch.
Holiday needs to be benched.

Now it's time to say what we REALLY think about Berkman!

Re: NLCS Game 5

Convention dictates this is one of those must-win games with the prospect looming of the Cardinals heading back to Milwaukee needing to win twice, but nothing about this season has been dictated by convention.

Re: NLCS Game 5

Well, at least Molina moved down a bit.  I haven't followed furcal's stats, but i wonder if freese doesn't warrant batting first, and have furcal somewhere in the back.

Re: NLCS Game 5

I like Raffy leading off , he's more of a pest , I like a pest in the lineup who can bunt, slap, drag, has some wheels, and enough power to keep defenses honest . Course the trick is , is to do some of these things on a consistent basis .

Re: NLCS Game 5

with pujols as hot as he is, we need guys in front of him who are getting on base.

but not enough to do damage.  any power hitter would have put that pitch into the rf bleachers.

Re: NLCS Game 5

4 hit batters in this series: fielder, braun, berkman, and freese.  the list looks non random.  also the time in the game looks non random.

Crap.  I was about to write that Garcia was going to go 9 tonight.  If only he could have capitalized on that 0-2 count to Hart.
