Re: NLCS 6th and deciding game

They need another broadcast crew to come in and freshen this game up.  They are clearly as bored as I am.  A hard nine?  How about a quick 4?  I am either going to have to slow down on the beers or go o bed.

Max, it is true that other players stepping up allowed for the Rasmus trade.  However it wasnt Chambers.  They promoted Jay to full time center fielder and traded for Patterson.  Chambers only got put on the playoff roster because Patterson had nothing exrta to offer of him.  Chambers wasnt even on the team tll Sept callups.  It was a stupid statement but they have run out of things to talk about.

Oh great!  Here come the brewers again.

First to 25 wins.

They better get "Scrabble" out of there  (embarrassed)

My point was that both Craig and Lynn were already on the the major league roster at the time of trade.  So they weren't even part of the minor league system that is supposedly so chock a block full of guys ready for promotion that Rasmus was expendable.  Hell, Craig's been on the major league roster since last year.

It had nothing to do with Craig or Lynn and everything to do with Jay.  If Jay was hitting .230 at the time of the trade it wouldnt have happend.

Re: NLCS 6th and deciding game

I said during Game 2 that I had never felt less comfortable with a 5 run lead. I feel worse tonight.

Can someone please pitch a scoreless inning. Two would be great, but right now I'd settle for one.

Re: NLCS 6th and deciding game

Like I said, keep Scrabble out there.

Someone help me out, didn't Rhodes have a choice between the Cardinals and either the Yankees or Red Sox?  That decision looked pretty bad at the end of August. Here's hoping he gets to pitch against the team that released him.

Re: NLCS 6th and deciding game

Strike zone seems to be getting larger. I'm OK with that at this point, so long as it's that way for both teams.

At this point everything should be a strike.

Re: NLCS 6th and deciding game

BTW Max, you posted previously about the series MVP. If it ends tonight, the MVP just grounded out to 3rd.

and Jay wasn't in the minor league system, either.

If they had said "one reason Moz was ready to trade Rasmus was because players the system had already produced made him expendable" that would have made sense.  But to say it's because the system is full of guys ready for the big leagues, and then name two guys who already were on the team was the kind of arrogant, know-it-all blowhardedness that gets under my skin.

Boring is just exactly the way I like elimination games.  As long as we're winning.

TBS called Selig and Selig called the home plate ump: I want this game wrapped up no later than 8:15.

AP, not sure if you're flipping channels to the football game, but it looks like the Christian Ponder era is underway.

Re: NLCS 6th and deciding game

Seriously, more Scrabble?  Methinks we're pushing it. Hopefully it's a one batter deal.
