"La Russa said Jackson would be available in the bullpen for tonight's Game 2. If Jackson is deployed, Westbrook would start Game 4. "All you know is every game has its own extreme significance," La Russa said, 'so you're not going to hold back something for later if you figure you can win it now. Jackson is a great example. The guy is so talented, so strong, so versatile that if we get a chance to win and he's the guy and he pitches, we'll do something else.""

I like the balls-to-the-wall attitude, but reading between the lines I gather this means Westbrook is starting Game 4. Normally, I'd throw up my mouth at the very suggestion, but as Alz pointed out, every halfcourt heave Tony has chucked up there in the past few weeks has found nothing but net.

That is what I assumed it means. If Jackson isnt needed in game two or three they could back track on that thinking. What is the next game Carp can start, 5?

I hope you're right Max, but I don't share your confidence.

Punto in the lineup makes me happy.

I'm not too concerned about Garcia tonight. The Rangers have an automatic out batting third.

I hope Garcia can roll tonight. Heading to Texas up 2-0 would be beyond awesome. I know one thing and that is things look good right now but a game 2 lose and everyone gets worried again. That is just the roller coaster ride that is the playoffs.

Well, there are times to wear your analysts cap and times to wear your Cardinals cap and summon your inner 12 year old. The joy of winning this series won't mean much if I spend the whole time being a Doubting Thomas.

Jaime is pefect through 0.1 IP

So much for the perfect game.
Is it just me, or does it look like Molina is very cavalier catching those low, inside pitches to Beltre with his thumb? Especially with the go ahead run on third.
Offline
Wow credit Texas with some slick D up the middle.
We are playing a good team, guys.

A true nailbiter so far. I wish Molina would lay off the heater at his eyes.
Huge strike out by Garcia to get out of the jam in the 4th. He was having some trouble locating the ball down in the zone. I am alittle worried heading into the 5th.

Garcia walks.
Two great teams square up and they blinked.

6th inning, 1 K, still getting a decent called strike low. Garcia looks awesome.

Oops. Seeing eye single to . . . Kinsler.
BIG DP!

Hope Punto wasn't hurt.

"I don't think anybody expected this out of Jaime Garcia"
*ahem*

I finally get in, Garcia gets two quick outs then a single by Beltre. I hope I didn't jinx it.

Jaime laughs at the idea of being down 3-1 in the count.
Do they send him back out for the eighth against Napoli?
