Re: World Series, Game 3

Nice to see Craig get off to a good start.

As much as the league is amazed that Cruz bats 7th, they must be even more amazed by Craig, "that guy sits on the bench?!?"

Re: World Series, Game 3

Re: World Series, Game 3

Wow, Cards just escaped their second DP, and still only in the 4th, and only due to a bad throw AND a bad call.

FWIW, that's one spot where an aware runner would have slid into first.

Re: World Series, Game 3

The worst part of that call at first is that the umpire saw the tag. He clearly told Napoli that he believed Holliday was on first when Napoli tagged him. Holliday wasn't even close to first. What an awful call, and it ends up costing the Rangers 4 runs. Wow.

I kept trying to figure out when the pitchers spot was coming up.

Re: World Series, Game 3

Get Loshe out of the fucking game.  I dont care if TLR has to strip down and streak across the field to buy time.  Get him out of there.

Hard to say that it cost them all four, but it sure didn't help.

Was that Laura Bush behind home plate, or the Joker?

Now really. It should have been 2 out, none on. Berkman singles and Freese doubles him to third. Molina's walk loads the bases and Napoli takes Jay's grounder to first rather than throwing home. Inning over, 0 runs.

Oh, and Kyle Lohse sucks balls. Who knew you couldn't throw 80% change ups twice thru the lineup?

Couldn't tell. My retina are still trying to recover after seeing Medusa take the mound before Game 1.

Thank God Napoli is slow. How does a major league outfield camp under a potential sacrifice fly for that long and still catch the ball that flat-footed?

Re: World Series, Game 3

Per Miklasz's twitter:

"Lohse in postseason: 3 starts, 12.2 IP, 18 hits, 4 HRs, 11 earned runs, 7.81 ERA."

They can't let him touch the mound again.

If every swing and pitch were exactly the same, irrespective of the fact that there would have been two outs instead of just one.  All I'm saying is you never know, although I concede your analysis is sound.
