For all the braying he does about the team's 27 World Series championships, YankeeFan pulls the chute pretty quickly when things don't go his way.

There's no accounting for "what ifs," but imagine how Yankee fan would be responding if Texas hadn't blown that 5-0 lead in Game 1.

The Rangers need to win the next two games and finish off the series. Cliff Lee is one away from tying Gibby's record for consecutive post-season wins. I don't want him to get it, but I can't root for the Yankees.

Cliff Lee is absurd. Save for Roy Halladay's 10.20 ERA in 2000 and coming back two years later as one of the most dominant pitchers of our era, Lee is the craziest turnaround I can remember. He's gone from being a good middle-of-the-rotation pitcher to a flame-out at 28 to the lefthanded Greg Maddux.

Bengie Molina just took A.J. Burnett deep. 5-3 Rangers in the bottom of the sixth.

2.5 hours and it's the bottom of the sixth. These AL games are almost as ridiculous as Craig Sager's wardrobe.

Did TBS just show Nolan Ryan picking his nose?

Lefties aren't doing a very good job getting Josh Hamilton out. He's been Beltran-esque.

Kinsler with a bloop single to right field! Texas leads 7-3.

Not sure which was better, Burnett with his hands on his head or Pay-Rods bent over "can't bear to look" reaction. Priceless

Wow. Huge break for Texas. That ball clearly hit Swisher's pants leg.
Isn't this where Berkman hits one into the Crawford boxes?

Great play by Michael Young. And Washington still has Feliz for the 9th.
Pure genius.

Hamilton goes deep again. Four home runs in four games.
Now Cruz goes deep. 10-3 Rangers. Good-bye Yankees.

The only bad thing that will come out of the Yankees being eliminated is that Cliff Lee is almost certain to wind up pitching for them next season. But he'd probably be pitching for them even if the Yankees had gone 11-0 this month.

Even thought the born again/found jesus store get stale it is hard not to like the guy. Thank god the Cub and the Reds dropped the ball on him.

Oct. 19, 2006 - Yadier Molina hits a bone-crushing home run that silences the New York crowd.

I was thinking about that when it happened last night, but I didn't know the days were the same. Of course, Yadi can always remind Bengie that Yadi's homer was in a Game 7.

The guy's name is Grim LaRogue?
That's some scary stuff.
The "don't-show-'em on TV" policy the networks have adtoped is one that I whole-heartedly agree with, Don. These assholes who run onto the field are either nutcases or compensating for the lack of attention they didn't get from mommy and daddy, or both.
Don, you've been around long enough to remember Mike Curtis.

Yep, and several other old time linebackers who "liked to discipline" their opponents .

I'd really like to see Texas close this thing out tonight. I can only imagine what would be going through Yankee-fan's mind watching the Rangers celebrate their first AL pennant on the "hallowed ground" of Yankee Stadium.

Game should be underway. I want to go home but I'm trapped here.
Bill Simmons thinks this is a re-hash of the 2007 ALCS and the ace, Sabathia, turns it all around in Game 5. I guess Simmons doesn't remember that it was Sabathia on the mound in Game 5 of that series and he lost.

Never mind.
Hopefully they can give the Texas fans a thrill and win it at home.

Texas leaving runners in scoring position, NY only slightly better .
