Can we please put to rest the notion that the Ryan family somehow has a superior strain of DNA because 25 years ago Buddy happened to be the coordinator of one of the best defenses in the history of the NFL?
New England carved up the Jets like a Thanksgiving turkey last night, and that was the fourth time so far this season a team has hung at least 30 points on them.
And Revis is overrated. He's fine in press man-to-man coverage. But he struggles and looks confused in zone schemes, probably because he's too stupid to remember his assignment. He'll be out of the league as soon as he loses a half-step.

I'd include Sanchez on that list as well. There just isn't anything about him that makes me think he's a QB that you want leading your team when things aren't going well. He wasn't Matt Stafford-frustrated, but Sanchez sure seemed out of sorts when the Patriots started racking up the points.

Going back to his days with USC, I've never been particularly impressed with Sanchez, and I especially didn't see enough talent to warrant his draft position. He was a good college quarterback on a very good team, and he's an average quarterback on a good NFL team.

IIRC, Sanchez had that really good game against Penn State in the Rose Bowl and when Sam Bradford declined to enter the draft in 2009, his stock shot up. I do remember Pete Carroll being quite confused.
