Bad headline writing

"Texas finds inspiration in former crack addict"

That's a wildly inappropriate headline. Off the top of my head, I can think of about 10 headlines that would be better without explicitly saying "crack addict." I saw that and thought it was either from The Onion or a blog.

Wow. Just terrible.

No, because they would have referred to her more specifically as a "crack whore."
