Well, if I had to go up against Alz, I suppose the week of Payton Manning's bye is as good a week as any.
I'll probably only lose by 20 rather than 40.

Lots of byes this week- KC and I are each going to play without half our guys. Cant see myself winning without LT, I'm 0-6 if I hadn't picked that guy up.
Hmmm, KC, Yahoo says the matchup is essentially a toss-up... care to make it interesting?
Loser has to take the winner's ex-wife out for a night on the town.
Better yet, loser has to take his own ex-wife out for a night on the town.

What was the best part?
1. The Raiders leading the Broncos, 21-0, just 6:02 into the game
2. The Raiders leading, 38-0, just 22:02 into the game.
3. Knowshon Moreno celebrating a touchdown that put his team behind, 38-7.
4. Fans starting to leave Invesco Field at halftime.
5. No oh-so-clever "Raiders Suck" chant this year.
6. Josh McDaniels apologizing for his sorry ass team.
I never thought a trip to Denver could have topped the 1994 Massacre, but this one did.

LOL - nothing better than celebrating the splitting of the atom while the Evil Empire's mushroom cloud rises over your left shoulder.
Did you catch the highlights of the Charger rookie who caught his first pass, set the ball down, got up and started celebrating? Only one small problem--unlike college, in the NFL, someone has to touch you for you to actually be down. The ball was live and a New England defender pounced on the ball. The rookie's first career reception quickly became his first career lost fumble.

Not to mention the running back who didn't go after a lateral that some New England linebacker picked up and ran 60 yards.
Norv's neck is in the guillotine yet again. It's amazing the guy is still coaching football when the trajectory of every team he's ever coached is like Michael Pare's movie career.

I am set to become our leagues leading scorer this week. Yet I have lost 3 weeks. If the NFL ran fantasy football they would have already thought of a solution to this unfair situation.
In the real NFL Favre has a fractured ankle. Either he will continue to ruin the Vikings season or I will finally get a chance to see what Jackson has as an NFL QB.

About three years ago, the Raiders were playing the Chargers in San Diego. Tie game with about four minutes to play. On 4th-and-2, Rivers hits Vincent Jackson for about a 15-yard gain. Jackson gets up, spins the ball and does the first down gesture ... all without being touched. (Keep in mind the Chargers are probably 10-2 and the Raiders are 2-10 at this point in the season. So why Jackson is celebrating a first down in a game at home the Chargers should be winning by about five touchdowns is another issue.) About a half-dozen Raiders pounce on the ball.
Oakland ball, right? Wrong. Jackson was called for an illegal forward pass. The Chargers not only got the ball back, they were given a first down, and then the penalty yardage was marked off. The Chargers scored a couple of plays later.
And people wonder why I think there's a conspiracy against the Raiders.

That seems like it was less then 3 years ago.....Like last year. If I remember it, that in itself is amazing. Your memory for sports related events are like a steal trap. Mine is more like a screen door.

There's a trait that people around here call Irish Alzheimer's, AP. You forget everything except your grudges.

"In the real NFL Favre has a fractured ankle."
Aw crap. That's two of my fantasy QBs who have broken bones. I'm going to be starting Derek Anderson next week. I know it. I just know it.

If it makes you feel any better, Bob is really happy to have Steven Jackson. (grin) (grin) (grin)

I think I am going to have to retire as a drinker. This hangover just inst worth it. Not to mention the kids and wife trying to rub in the fact that I am a dunmbass. Solid foods are starting to sit better so I might live afterall.
