The Raiders jersey in your closet probably leads to an automatic disqualification.

What if I promise to leave the shoulder pads with the metal spikes and the decapitated Chuckie doll at home?

No apparently Pujols can't be troubled to attend White House visits.  Then again it's probably Dewitt's fault.  After embarassing Pujols by offering him a 10 year/$210M contract, how could Pujols be expected to show his face in public.  Maybe if Obama personally telephones him and makes Pujols feel like part of the White House family he'll change his mind. Or maybe Pujols' personal services contract prohibits him from attending.

"A representative for Icon Sports said first baseman Albert Pujols does not plan to make the trip. (Pujols also was not among the traveling party that visited George Bush in 2007.)"

I'd have to go on my own dime, and I have another work event scheduled for Tuesday anyway.
I've been screened. A couple of years ago, I did a story about a local solider who was serving in Afghanistan. You have to go through the DoD. You pretty much say, "I'd like to speak with John Doe for a feature story in a local paper" and they make all the arrangements.
Before the interview, I got a call from the Pentagon telling me that the solider was going to call in about an hour. The person who sits next to me at work overheard the conversation and said "They're probably going to use that hour screen you." I replied "Do you think I would have made it this far if I hadn't already been screened?"
Not that I'm bright enough to think it all the way through. I found out later the soldier's brother was listening in on the interview. In hindsight, I'd guess there was at least one other person from the Pentagon who was also listening, and who knows who else between here and Kabul. It's probably a good thing I didn't know all that at the time because it would have intimidated the hell out of me.

"on his way out the door."

Have you been paying attention to the GOP nominees?!? Watch the debates. More importantly, watch the post-debate panel shows. Every time I hear someone ask "So who won?" I laugh and answer "Obama." Every one of the Republican contenders is crazy, dumb or mean. Except Rick Perry. He's all three.

Edit: Huntsman is none of the above. I won't vote for him for President, but I wouldn't be entirely annoyed if he wins.

Re: Wonder if I'll pass the screening

I not going to get in a debat about politics but it seems to me that unless the GOP finds a way to lose it again it is theirs to win.  I dont put to much into the current feeling.  They are eating their own right now.  After it is one on one we will see what the nations true feeling is.

If Romney wins the South Carolina primary, it's over. The conservative wing of the party will sit out the general election or find a third candidate.
