Destiny vs. Dynasty?

That's how one of the stations here dubbed the game between Denver and New England this weekend.
Sorry. The Patriots were never a "dynasty" in the first place. It's been seven years since they won a Super Bowl, and there are about three players left over from the team the last time they won one.
Friggin' jerks.

Re: Destiny vs. Dynasty?

Good grief, only a bunch of blowhard Patriots fans would refer to that thing as a "dynasty." They won three Super Bowls in four years. Since then they've been in one Super Bowl, lost an AFC Championship game in humiliating fashion and lost to Mark Sanchez and Joe Flacco.

If they want to call it an AFC East dynasty, I think it'd be appropriate.

Miami won the division a few years ago when New England went 11-5, and they haven't stopped whining about it since. If you're a Raiders' fan, that's like being an Eskimo listening to someone who lives in Aruba complaining the ice in his drink melts too quickly.

I think the Raiders are on the right track now. I like McKenzie better than anyone else in that division, and if he likes Winston Moss, then that's gotta be a good hire.

Anyone is better than no one, which is what they've had since Bruce Allen left. Davis didn't like to pay coaches, but McKenzie may not be bound by the same constraints. I'd even inquire about Gruden. He supposedly loves his TV gig, but if you made it worth his while, he'd come back. He's still adored by Raider Nation, even though he won one more Super Bowl coaching against the Raiders than he did coaching for them.
