Re: Alex Cora?

I was just going to start a post on this subject.  I guess Cora is going to be a plyer coach in spring training helping young Cardinals infielders while attempting to keep his major league career alive.  Great plan.

Re: Alex Cora?

You beat me to the post AP.  Reading the story in the P-D, it wouldn't surprise me if the Cardinals didn't promise Cora some sort of coaching opporunity (maybe in the minors) for coming in and working with the younger guys.

Re: Alex Cora?

Anyone else notice this:

"Mozeliak said this morning that he did not see any more significant moves before the team opens spring training in Jupiter, Fla., on Feb. 18 when pitchers and catchers report."

That's fine, but how do you acknowledge you're looking to deal McClellan and then bring him back for ST? I'm guessing there might be some awkward moments when McClellan shows up on the first day.

Re: Alex Cora?

I would think McCellan would be happy to be able to stay playing for his home town team and have a chance to prove that he is worth 2.5 million.
