Good point. I presumed with Beltran in right, Skippy would be the second baseman.
While I was watching Tuesday's game, Ron Darling reminded the audience that it was Skip who drove in the only run in Game 5 of the LDS. Amid all of Freese's heroics in the World Series, Skip's contribution in getting them there seems to have been forgotten, and it shouldn't.

I was hoping the Red Sox would have left their major leaguers in a little longer. It would have been fun to hear Shannon try to pronounce "Saltalamacchia" after a few beers during the rain delay.

I was in and out of the car a couple of times yesterday afternoon. During the rain delay, Shannon was interviewing someone who is somehow connected with Musial. I'm not really sure how because it was never really explained. They're taking about the medal Stan won a couple of years ago and Shannon cuts the guy off in mid-sentence: "Well, someone did a poll a long time ago and Stan was voted the best something or other in the history of the country."
On about the eighth inning, Shannon tries to order beers from one of the vendors in the ballpark. I can only surmise that the vendors work on quotas, and the mic in the radio booth picked up the kid saying "Four more beers!" Good guy, that Shannon, helping the kid get home to his family.
