Too bad. I would have liked to see him move to another division.

Agree, but this move will likely cripple the Reds financially more than a Pujols contract would have restrictied the Cardinals. $20M/year is going to be about 20-25% of their annual payroll.

So between Bruce, Votto and that ridiculous contract they gave to Chapman, they probably have half their payroll tied up in three players?

The latest story (per Bob Nightengale) is that it's a $225M extension that kicks in AFTER Votto's two remaining years. If that's true, the contract runs through 2023.
"So between Bruce, Votto and that ridiculous contract they gave to Chapman, they probably have half their payroll tied up in three players?"
Worse than that. Cueto is under contract through 2014 when he makes $10M, and Marshall is under contract through 2015.
Last season the Reds had an all-time high payroll of $80M. Assume Nightengale is correct, and also assume some sort of flat contract for Votto. The Reds will have over $50M tied up in Votto, Bruce, Cueto, Chapman and Marshall in 2014.
It's a good thing Danny-boy tells us the Reds have the best farm system in baseball. They're sure going to need it.

Danny could have made that argument before the Latos trade, but he can't say that now.
I don't know how the financials are going to work. Those diehard fans in Cincinnati died early last year, and the Reds ended up 10th in the league in attendance. The Reds' ticket prices are near the bottom. Castellini is going to have to open a few more fruit stands to make those ends meet.

Is the Marshell the same Marshall they got from the Cubs? They just named him closer.

Yes.
