One bummer about LaRussa retiring, and I've heard a couple of booths chatter about this already.

Matheny just doesn't bring the ire that TLR did. I've never rooted against LaRussa (was an A's fan then a Cardinals fan), but I can easily see how he would piss me the fuck off after a 3 game set that involved 47 pitcher changes. Comment on my ballpark, comment on something random, then start up with me during a game because a kid threw up and in and missed. I'm not saying TLR was a douche, but I most certainly would have thought him one if I rooted for another team.

I would expect things to cool down a bit between Milwaukee and Cincinnati in regards to us. It's .... I want to say impossible but that sounds like I'm being a homer. Is there a baseball fan alive that truly doesn't like Mike Matheny???
