    They need to get either Berkman or Freese back soon (preferably both). Along with Allen Craig.

    That's not a very pretty lineup.

    Yeah, that's pretty bad. Plus they have Greene playing defense. Yuck.

    I'd imagine Berkman comes back tomorrow. I don't understand Freese's injury at all.

    Al is so annoying. If a ground ball pitcher who leads the league in ground balls has bad results it's probably because the idiots who put the team together have an outfielder at second base and a second baseman at shortstop. Call bullshit when you see it, Al.

    Obviously we're only a week and a half into the season, but they're sending an early message to the rest of the Central.  Larussa, Duncan and Pujols may be gone, but they still intend to play the season to win.

    I'll never fully understand Westbrook. He's got a 6-0 lead and he's pitching to Ian Stewart like he's Barry Bonds.
    Hard to bitch too much about a 10-3 win, though. Even if it was against a terrible, terrible team.

    I don't think Carpenter is going anywhere.  Komatsu is the first to go, and I think Shane Robinson goes next.

    Shane-o might go first because of Komatsu's Rule 5 status. Komatsu might be tougher to hold on to once Skippy and Craig are both healthy.
    I want to know who plays centerfield against lefties when Craig is back. I can't see an outfield of Holiday, Beltran and Craig giving the Cardinals plus defense.

    I guess I'm just a simple baseball fan, because I'd love for someone to explain what Komatsu does that Adron Chambers can't.  Or that Robinson can't do from the right side.

    I assume that will be tried.  Other then playing Jay in center vs lefties there wont be to many other options with Robinson and Komatsu off the team.  I guess you could throw Skip into the mix but he offers less appeal then Jay.

    Whoever can do that explain to me how Skip is an upgrade over anyone on the roster.


    If Komatsu is going to be the first to go then why not just drop him now and callup Chambers?  What is there to lose?

    Komatsu. They can't send him to the minors unless they give the Nationals something for him.
