Strauss tweeting that Berkman could be headed to the DL. Matt Adams anyone?
Go figure, Berkman avoids the DL despite playing the outfield most of last season and can't get out of April this season.

FFS Holliday has to hit at some point right? 5 for his last 27 ABs with 2 runs and 1 RBI...
Can Carpenter play left field??
Good game otherwise, everyone who played today and batter was hitting over .300 except Greene who went 1-3 with 2RBI and scored twice. 4 more singles with no run or RBIs and he has Holliday matched over 6 games....

Skip is rehabing in Memphis. I assume they recall him and play Carpenter everyday. I saw Berkman only had 2 at bats in the box scores and I was worried this was why.

On 590 this morning, Strauss mentioned the possibility of moving C. Carpenter to the 60 day DL. Would be eligible to come off in late May which is probably consistent with the earliest possible return date. Although Strauss also mentioned the Cardinals may not be willing to admit that Carpenter is out until the end of May, at the earliest.

Adams is not on the 40 man roster.
To answer your question Tk, if Adams came up, it wouldn't be to sit. I'm not saying Adams is coming up. But if he does, I think it's because there are people in the front office curious to see what he can do, and I think he would get an opportunity to play.
