I wonder how bad Pujols wishes he would have taken the Cardinals offer. He isnt hitting on a really shitty team. He has got a long ten years ahead of him.

"Even better, Hunter guarantees it. Also still without a home run, he predicted that today, in the warm, welcoming afternoon sunshine, the fans would see a first for this season."
Hunter has a future as a meteorologist. Both he and Pujols went 0-fer. Pujols' slash line .246/300/.354
Again, I'm not stupid enough to think he doesn't end up with typical numbers, but I saw this in yesterday's recap and was shocked
"Pujols has only three homers in his last 40 regular-season games and 166 at-bats overall."
Make that 41 games and 170 at bats

It's God's will.
And the Angels fall 7.5 behind Texas.

Slappy is about 10 games away from breaking his own homerless streak. Whoever is doing color for this game was talking about how bad he looked during BP.

First 0-19 of his career.

Pujols is hitting a higher number of line drives, lower number of ground balls and is right in line with fly balls. And 15 percent of his hits have been infield singles. He should really be doing much better, but he's not walking and he's striking out at a rate not seen since he was 21. Oh, and he's swinging at more pitches than ever before.
Someone has to cut through his massive ego and tell him to be more patient. Bernie was on the radio today and said he's heard that he's miserable and with all the attention on him not hitting home runs, he's trying to make a point to hit home runs so he's pulling everything. If this is true, it's really scary if you're an Angels fan. It appears that Pujols' prime motivation for playing right now is simply to put up numbers and shove it in STL's face.

You would have thought the motivation of screwing the Cardinals would have proven to be a bad one by now. It sucked at the beging of last year when he wanted to screw them into paying him 30 mill a year and it is sucking now. He is doing nothing but proving DeWitt right and that has to be eating him alive. I wonder if he could go back in time and take the Cardinals offer if he would do it.

i wonder what dewitt is thinking about all this? publicly, of course, he'll say he has no hard feelings toward albert, but you've got to think he and bd iii have exchanged a couple of high-fives while they're watching angels' highlights up in the owner's box.

Again? When he does do something he is finding a way to fuck it up.

Huh. I assumed he'd been an excellent hitter in high school, but what the heck do I know?

I've heard people come at me about Pujols age (not that he's 32 now, but is he REALLY 32 now) for 11 seasons.
If this is truly a decline for the man, he's hitting it about 5 years earlier then most players, and starting to make me wonder as well. Any chance AP is really 37 right now?

Pujols alert!!! He scored a run. Only the 6th time all year. Still went 1-4 with no HRs.

Pujol$ has never gone a full month of a season without a home run. He's got one last shot. Anaheim plays Minnesota tomorrow.
