I found this old thread interesting. I was looking for the thread were I looked up Pujols' worst month.

Good stuff AP. I don't see many of his at bats anymore, but it sounds like Pujol$ is experiencing the same thing he went through last April, except he at least showed some power last April and his slump is prolonged.
We're only one month in, but this whole thing has completely blown up on Moreno. Once the Dodgers were sold to Magic Johnson's group, the Dodgers remained the darlings of LA. Add in that the Dodgers are in first, the Angels in last, and the best player in LA is playing CF for the Dodgers, not 1B for the Angels, things really couldn't have gone much worse.

Pujols is making last April look like a great month. .245/7/18 is a far cry from what he has put up in 2012.

slappy legged out a bloop double that willingham lost in the lights and then scored on a single by hunter in the bottom of the first. good to see him getting on base ahead of guys who can drive in runs.

I believe Pujols posted his first homerless month. Congrats and hopefully many more to come. I just hope LAA saves their preformance bonuses. I wonder if his personal service contract will allow him to work selling peanuts?

he's not getting booed yet. during his third at bat, he hit a ball abot 10 feet to the left of the foul pole in left field, and all of a sudden the crowd started oohing and ahhing. then he swung and missed on a pitch that nearly hit him and then swung through a cutter right down the middle.

Pujols is kind of luck he pick LAA. In general LA has alot of things to do other then baseball. Also as Fors pointed out the Angles are not even the only show in town or the best. Not to mention the many other west coast teams. If Pujols would have went to New York, Boston, Chicago or even the Reds the heat would be on him. He is playing for a fan base that IMO doesnt care. They show clips of him sucking out in LA but they dont show interviews. I dont know if he doesnt do them or if he isnt asked.

Here's to hoping May is just as productive for Pujol$ as April was.

Pujol$ probably made his first misstep in an Angels uniform. He called out his pitching coach, ironically enough, for publicly discussing a meeting amongst the player during which Pujol$ spoke out.
Note that Hatcher didn't call Pujol$ on the carpet, in fact, Hatcher seemed complimentary. Nonetheless, Pujol$ decided to public air that he was unhappy that someone else had publicly aired something.
This may not seem like much, but Hatcher is highly regarded in Los Angeles (he was part of the 88 Dodgers World Series team) and is close friends with Scioscia. It will be interesting to see if Slappy gets the same leeway from the media that he got in St. Louis.

Slappy is used to bullying coaches around. It's fine when you're in St. Louis and you're an icon, less so when you signed an enormous deal, put up a shit month and think you can throw your weight around.
Slappy has a lot to learn.

This is what I have been waiting for.

Pujol$ is now 1 HR behind my 11 year old. Throw in Bob's 3 RBI tonight, and I'm pretty sure he's ahead of Pujol$ in each of the triple crown categories. Then again, Bob's team has only played 4 games.

I had a dream this morning that Pujols homered.

slappy flew out to the track his first time up ... but in right center. usually a sign he's about to come out of a slump. stay tuned.

lineout to left in 2d at bat ...

line drive single to left.
maybe the best 3 abs i've seen him have so far this year.

AB #100 in the books. I still have as many HRs this season as Pujol$.

While Albert was going 1 for 5 (.208) Weaver was pitching a No-hitter ......

Pujols currently sitting on 0 HR's and 5 RBIs
Beltran beat both of those season marks yesterday (2 HRs, 7 RBIs)

We could start a whole thread about things that have happen more times then Pujols has homered. Beltran is only one of 131 players with more HRs then Pujols. Hell the US army has killed Osama Bin Laden more times then Pujols has homered in 2012.
