I like it. I got home at 11 and get to watch 3 innings and drink a 6 pack. 4 down ,2 to go.

Time to buckle in. Kubel just snapped an 0-for-19.

High freakin' cheese. One more to go.
That works.

Anyone else feel like this was less a win than it was an escape?

Exactly.
And I hope J.C. Romero hasn't bought real estate in the St. Louis area.

Last night was very revealing for Lynn. It sounds like he was without his best stuff and he still struck out seven. I chuckled when Windy thought he'd be an ace of the future, and I still don't think he's going to be quite ace-level, but it's crazy how good he's been.

I think he actually pumped his fist when he got out of that jam in the first inning. I still hate the notion they took him out after 5 innings and 91 pitches. He wasn't great, but he could have spared us the debacle that was J.C. Romero last night.
Another way to look at it is how many times do you cough up a 6-run inning and still win the game?

How good has Jay, Freese and Craig. All three were pretty much wrote off or undervalued. Now the team wouldnt be over .500 without them.

Aye, except I take exception to the notion that Jon Jay was ever anything less than a god.
If Windy needs more ammo for the Angels' board, he might want to remind them that Freese was traded for Edmonds. So the Bottenfield deal is still paying dividends for the Cardinals.

Jon Jay was the next Bo Hart.
LOL at the Bottenfield lineage.
