21-game winner or not, a guy named Ian ought to be a roadie for Stryper.

What is Mark Grace up to tonight?

Does every Arizona player who strikes out have to slam their bat and/or helmet into something?

Mostly prattling on about nothing. He's reminded the audience about a dozen times to stay tuned because the DBacks scored six runs in the sixth inning last night. They just interviewed the "Fan of the Game" for the past half-inning. He and Durwood are now praising Kennedy for eating innings.

I'm also watching Suppan in San Diego. He's topping out at 87 mph, but holding the Rockies to one run through 3 2/3.

The experiment of Scal at short and Craig at first with Westbrook on the mound was probably a bad idea.

Are they overreacting as much as the Diamondbacks are to these strikeouts?

Think anyone ever explained to Montero that it might not be a great idea for a catcher to demonstratively disagree with the home plate umpire as much as he does?

Wow, the seventh inning is over already?

Open-ended trivia question: Colorado pitcher Alex White wears #6. How many pitchers can we name who wore single-digit numbers? Off the top of my head, I can only think of Matt Young wearing #1 with the Red Sox.

Did David Wells wear 3 one year to honor Ruth?

They've given up on the game. They found a young couple in the stands holding a sign that reads "First Date" and it's morphed into a discussion and now a text poll question about whether there will be a second date. I'm not making this shit up.

Good one. With the Red Sox. Then I think he switched with Egguh Rentuhriuh when both of them got off to shitty starts.

No wonder the D'Backs have something like 500 fans. Who could watch that shit on a regular basis?

They're now being interviewed. Anna has consented to a second date with Brandon. Gracie is getting them tickets to Saturday's game. Again, not making this shit up. My imagination isn't that fertile.

Red Sox fans had to love him for honoring Ruth. I didn't remember that part of it.
BTW, the prattling on the St. Louis broadcast isn't much better. Horton just spent 2 minutes telling how Skippy has been getting more playing time at 2nd base because of the struggles of Descalso and Greene and because he knows how to play the game the right way. And even though the Cardinals lead by 6 runs, they could use an extra run and if there's anyone you want at the plate, it's Skip because he knows how to play the game the right way. There's always a place in baseball for guys like Skip who play the game the right way.
The subject changed rather quickly after Skippy struck out and failed to advance the runner.

If they manage to win tonight, they have no chance of winning tomorrow, so no need to save Motte.
