    Berkman is being held out another night even though he's having no issues. You don't have to start him, but it'd still be nice to have a good bat other than Carpenter coming off the bench. Kind of weird.

    I assume they are just being overly protective.  They can do that because they are winning.  I agree that having Berkman on the bench would be helpfull.

    Pretty cool pregame.  It is kind of hard for me to enjoy how cool of a job they are doing. My wiener dogs hind legs became paralyzed today.  The vet said we would just have to wait and see if he comes out of it.  I hate the unknow and I become really attatched to dogs.  Just plain sucks.

    Is Horton seriously trying to make excuses that the Larussa ceremony disrupted Garcia's pre-game routine so that's why he sucks tonight?  If Garcia's psyche is that fragile, ship him out. Give me a break.

    BTW, AP sorry to hear about your dog. Hope it works out ok.

    Admittedly I've never watch Carlos Beltran on a regular basis, but my word is he a good ball player. Can you imagine the contract he would have received after 2004 if the current market had been the standard?

    I just got back from Fenway Park. I hate American League baseball. It took Ubaldo Jimenez 99 pitches to get 13 outs.
    Hope your dog feels better, AP. We had a health scare with our 18-year-old cat this week. Ever try to give medication to a cat? Ever try to get a cat to do anything a cat doesn't want to do?
