Beltran sits. Right now Dempster is unhittable, so it's a curious decision to sit your hottest hitter.

Ugh. That was way too eventful.

This is what happens when you stop pitching well.

And Sveum's doesn't. What a dumb idea having Castro bunt.

And it doesn't matter. I hate Mitchell Boggs.

Boggs is wading dangerously close toward Cementhead territory again.

It had to come from the bench, Don. There's no way he would have laid down the second one on his own.
Even though Soriano bailed them out, that's such a stupid play. A high school coach wouldn't ask a #3 hitter in a weak lineup to move runners up a base with no outs. A junior high school coach wouldn't. Im not even sure some of the screwballs I've seen coaching Little League would have.

In May, he's pitched 4 2/3 innings and put on 16 base runners. If Mozeliak isn't working the phones hard for bullpen help...

Uh oh, Westbrook just remembered he's Jake Westbrook. Hurry back Carp!
It was a friggin' matter of time, wasn't it? When he started nibbling I knew it wasn't going to be a good night.

They're really working over Freese with those sliders away.

Should have had Berkman bunt ...

I think Don was referring to Castro not running. The bunt was stupid. Castro's decision to not run was inexcusable.

You'd think maybe Matheny would stop using him in important situations for a little while.

18, though that was a really bad play.

Did Al really just say that Boggs' inability to repeat his release point was an asset? That insightful stuff. Most pitchers prefer having no idea where the ball's going.
OMG!!! Why again did we need 3 second basemen who can't play?

I'm done. I'll see better fundamentals tomorrow at Bob's 11U game.

Of course. Duh. What can I say, Don? I have brain farts from time to time.
