I really don't understand how the Dodgers are 25-13. Here's their lineup from last night with OPS in parentheses:
Gordon (.511)
Ellis (.743)
Abreu (.866)
Ethier (.937)
Kennedy (.534)
Loney (.646)
AJ Ellis (.962)
Gwynn, Jr. (.712)
Now, AJ Ellis has always had a good batting eye, but a .962 OPS?! At 31?! Outside of Ethier that lineup looks like dreck, Abreu's good start be damned.

Ted Lilly is going to carve up the Cards all night. I should just go to bed now.

Hey cool a hit and a dropped ball ona strike out. Lets steal a run.

Bunt single, advance to second on an error, dropped third strike. This is almost what the Giants did to the Cardinals.

Does anyone recall Adam Fucking Kennedy ever hitting a ball to the gap in right center during the two miserable years he played in St. Louis?

This is the seventh game they've played against a team currently over .500. They've already played three series against the Padres.

That's a friggin' bomb.

Maybe Ill stay up. I cant believe they tossed Mattingly this early in the game for alittle lip service over balls and strikes. I didnt seem to help the Dodgers. Holliday tatooed that fucker.
Oh and they need to get Beltran out of the game. If he is day-to-day then this isnt his day.

I cant believe he is playing third. I just commented to my brother that I couldnt believe they didnt have anyone else who could stand there and then he hit the double.

Yeah, he's struggling. It looked like Shano backed off Kennedy's fly ball because he was surprised Beltran didn't have it in his back pocket. A right fielder with two good legs probably comes up with Loney's fly ball, too.
Good grief. He's just labored to move 15 feet to make that catch on Ethier. His arse should be on the bench.

They just called up the Herrera kid, but Mattingly probably wanted the lefty against Lynn. I don't know if Sellers can play third, but he's not an improvement offensively over AK anyway.
Wait until you see the size of Van Slyke's kid. Looks nothing like his father. His mother must have been a professional wrestler or something.

If you were not paying attention you wouldnt know that is costing them the game.
He should be joined on the bench by Lynn. He doesnt have it tonight.

Scully just said he's only gotten two swings and misses so far, and I know one of them was from Lilly.
Huge DP right there.

He supposedly had a bad knee. The divorce was Adam Miles and Tony LaRussa.

Pinch-hit for Lynn here if no one gets on? He's cruising all of a sudden.

Greene is a pretty good ballplayer every 10 games or so. That was a really clean slide there to break up the DP. He was on him in a hurry and didnt slide out of directional at all.

If they were going to pinch-hit for Lynn anyway, I would have had him swipe a bag. Lilly can't hold runners on, and you've got a couple of shots to drive him in with a single.

WTF with the defense the past couple of days? It's like Theriot is back.

If Kennedy drives in this run with a hit, I swear I'm going to break something ...

You gotta be shittin' me, Loney.

Two games in a row the Cardinals look like a monkey humping a football.
