I don't think I've ever seen a left-handed hitter hit a ball where Beltran did. 99 out of 100 guys hook that ball foul.

Walkoff homer for TTTIB.

How many times do you see a reliever come in to face the opposing pitcher?

What in the blue hell was Fredi Gonzalez doing tonight? This makes no sense at all:
Bottom 8th: Cincinnati
- J. Venters relieved C. Durbin
- C. Heisey singled to shallow center
- C. Heisey to second on wild pitch
- J. Votto grounded out to pitcher, C. Heisey to third
- B. Phillips intentionally walked
- E. O'Flaherty relieved J. Venters
- J. Bruce grounded into double play second to shortstop to first, B. Phillips out at second
You intentionally walk Phillips to get to Bruce so you can...put in another left-hander? The fuck?!
And how in the world do you leave Craig Kimbrel sitting on the bench when you're trying to avoid a sweep? Is it any surprise that the Braves lost so badly down the stretch? Gonzalez is a dumbshit.

We swept a weak team, I'll take it ......

Venters took Votto's comebacker off his leg. They were going to walk Phillips anyway, but afterwards Venters called out the trainer and they decided he couldn't go. So they brought in O'Flaherty to face Bruce.

Okay that makes more sense. Yahoo should include that in the PBP.

Yes indeed. Seems like a feel good game. I have still not seen Adams but his line looked good today. Lynn shook off a poor start. Beltran keep rolling and freese gets back on track.

"I have still not seen Adams but his line looked good today"
His best at bat was the double. He took a pretty good pitch a few inches off the plate and roped it off the fence in left. He's definitely up there to hack. I think we might be able to re-start the Zack Cozart Walk Watch on him.
He's a better defensive player than I expected, though I admittedly expected something between Adam Dunn and the Venus de Milo. His footwork could be better, but he handles the routine stuff. He got off the bag well to make a decent play to his right on a sharp 2-hopper and started what would have been an inning-ending double play in the first inning, but Lynn had a brain cramp and forgot to cover the bag, and it cost him a run.

He's already walked twice and is nine behind Zack Cozart's career total in 202 fewer plate appearances.
I say he catches up with Cozart in walks by the middle of June.

"He's already walked twice"
I probably should have known that, since I watched the game he walked twice. But I'm an idiot. So there.
