Re: 6/13 GC vs. W.Sox

I know everyone has been waiting for an update, so yes, my wife did bring home a pint of Ben & Jerry's tonight.

Re: 6/13 GC vs. W.Sox

Is Urban Meyer's younger brother's name "Suburban?"

Re: 6/13 GC vs. W.Sox

Jay Randolph is so fat he doesn't have a lap.

Re: 6/13 GC vs. W.Sox

J.D. Drew has the most aesthetically-pleasing swing I've ever seen, but Beltran from the left side is close.

Just to clarify, I wasn't randomly thinking about Urban Meyer. He was a guest in the Reds' booth a couple of innings ago.

Re: 6/13 GC vs. W.Sox

Pretty impressive job there by Lynn to leave him stranded on 3rd , no outs ...

Re: 6/13 GC vs. W.Sox

I had myself braced for another unhappy ending. By recent standards, that qualifies as a good effort by the bullpen. Recent standards, TK.

I think Lynn told himself early on , all I'm gettin' is 1 run , better pitch my ass off ...

Re: 6/13 GC vs. W.Sox

Lynn had 12 strike outs.  Impressive.  Alomost as impressive as Scrabble and Motte pitching in the same game and not blowing it.

I had to sweat it out on my phone.

So, is there a Cardinals fan not in a coma that thinks Lynn should go to the bullpen if Carpenter comes back?

I think Carp should go to the pen. He isnt going to be up to pitching 5 or 6 innings out of the gate.  He hasnt pitched since last winter.

Re: 6/13 GC vs. W.Sox

the Ranger and Dodgers are the only teams with a higher run differential then the Cardinals.
