Dont get me wrong, I bitch about the system more then I credit it.  Still, I can think a few ways to improve it.

Single offenders would almost never be executed in "my system" AP. He would have likely did a similar punishment to what he went through anyway.

The only real difference you'd notice between the US system and "my system" comes in at the top 1%. In my system it doesn't take 11 years to kill Bundy (who confessed), or 16 to kill Gacy (who also confessed). In my system Ridgeway doesn't get to deal for life in prison, and Dahmer gets a death sentence as well.

In "my system", I would honestly prefer we had a place to exile felons we do not wish to kill, but who have no hope of recitivism, such as Madoff, or Sandusky, if he's found guilty. Maybe one of the islands in Alaska, give them a 3 month survival course, and drop them off with a kit of simple tools/warm clothing. Live if you want, you won't burden our tax payers, and you will work for your existence.
