Is Jon Jay still a god even though he used to be teammates with Ryan Braun?

Craig should've hit that into the river.

Matheny should fine any player that swings at the first pitch. They know Outman isn't going more than 75 pitches right?

That ball left quickly....

It never fails. Lohse is seemingly cruising and then gives up an untimely home run.

Craig crushed that one .....

Sure did. Now they need at least 5 more outs from Lohse.

At the risk of bringing about an 0 for 20 slide, I can't remember the last time a hitter was as hot for as long as Holliday has been for the past 2-3 weeks. You're not supposed to add 40-50 points to your average this deep in the season in this short a period of time.
While I'm in "Windy" mode, how about Allen Craig's first 40 games. Project those numbers over a full season.

Is it me, or should the Cardinals be ahead 15-2 by now?

Yes. If he had been teammates with Eva Braun, we'd have to reconsider.

Does Ottavino's 4.56 ERA make him the ace of the staff?

You can't score too many runs tonight. Everyone remember this game?
I seem to remember Artie's comment being "La Russa was going to leave Franklin in even if he gave up 20."

Glad Colorado's defense is not in Afganistan ...

"Everyone remember this game?"
Vividly.
No chance of that happening tonight. The Rockies can't take the baseballs out of the humidor in the bottom of the ninth.

This might be slightly off-topic, but how come I won't eat bananas, but I love my wife's banana bread?

You won't eat bananas? What?

Dodgers up, 2-0, after three, but Billingsley is pitching, so the Reds are due for a big inning any time now ...

I think Fors' jinx on Holliday just began.
