    7/8 GC vs. Marlins

    Matt Carpenter will replace David Freese at third base and at the No. 6 spot in the lineup.

    Freese was scratched because of a contusion of the left leg he suffered when he was hit by a pitch in Saturday's game.

    The NL should just send the entire Reds roster. They're going to be in the World Series anyway, so why not let them play for their own home field advantage.

    Kelly was ugly , but no earned runs ,minimized damaged, and made it by a couple of Cuzzi calls that were questioable..

    Browning strikes me as a guy who got the call to come to the majors and told himself, "Fuck it. It took me forever to get here, let's see what I can do.

    So far, so good.

    And now Matheny is going to put Cleto into a position to fail.

    I TOTALLY agree with the tactic of giving every batter a two-ball cushion, but am willing to listen to other opinions.

    Marte must have something on Matheny. This idea that he needs to be put into every big spot is hurting the team. Mozeliak needs to interject and get rid of him. He's not good.

    Cardinals are in danger of finishing the home stand 5-5. 5-5 against the Pirates, Rockies and Marlins. That's simply inexcusable.
